Literature Text

We used to stand around and pull little
Poppers
And noisemakers
And wishbones
Pop popcorn by turning a handle
And watermelon
And shouting.
Every morning we had to
Wait
For the princess
And send praise up towards her floor
As if she could hear us utter her name.
There were boxes and
Containers
Of Chinese
And chopsticks to pick up what would be eaten off our knees.
And every morning, sunlight.
And ladybugs like little tiny fairies.
My welcome comity,
But I think they're all dead now.
I miss them too.
Yet every day was festive
And everyone was family.
The voice of the ghosts and fairies told me
"This is how they live"
Because
Everything felt like family.

Why aren't we family?
Just had another little random memory spasm.
And thought of Lessa again.
Uh-hum.

I'll explain any line you ask about (if any) cuz they all seemed kinda vague to me, and my poems are usually really obvious... -w-"

I really loved the rhythm at the beginning (though I can't really say why...). and I think my favorite two lines were "my welcome comity" and "but I think they're all dead now." it's a really good poem, and I loved every bit of it!
